  1. Start your holiday marketing early. These days, the earlier the better. Black Friday is on November 29th followed by Cyber Monday on December 2nd this year. You must start your marketing efforts well before this time, or you’ll be left behind.
  2. Have holiday promotions in place. With all the holiday sales, having a great deal is essential. Don’t count on consumers buying something for full price during the holidays. If you aren’t able to offer a huge discount, add some other incentive. Try “Spend x amount and be entered to win blank,” or “For every x amount you spend, we’ll donate x amount to blank.” Both are simple, easy to execute, and will catch consumers attention just as much as a sale.
  3. Host a holiday party or event to draw customers and potential customers into your doors. There’s nothing better than having a holiday event hosted at your store. Team up with a charity for a mutually beneficial partnership during the holidays. Is your favorite charity having a fundraiser or canned food drive? Offer to host the event.
  4. Use quality marketing materials that are creative and stand out. Your marketing materials can say a lot about your company. Does your material look old and outdated? Then so does your company. Be sure your banners, posters, flyers, everything, is unique and attention-grabbing.
  5. Use all possible channels to promote your company. Every channel should be utilized, starting with outdoor and in-store graphics to social media and radio advertising. Each message through each outlet should build on the other. Also make sure you have consistency across all channels.
  6. Use floor graphics to draw customers to your best product displays. Don’t let customers walk in your store and completely miss your best product or promotion. Floor graphics can make sure that doesn’t happen.
