Our Digital Color Experts have the technical capability to print directly onto Styrene, film or Plexi-Glass to create backlit graphics. Creating these types of displays is a little more involved than just imaging to film and placing it in a light box. Large backlit displays need to have the image supported so it will not sag or become wavy.
In order to do this, our experts mount the image face down using an optically clear mounting adhesive to Plexiglas or Lexan. This allows the image to be viewed through the material. Think of this as if you were viewing a picture that’s in a frame with glass over it. First, you see the glass and then you see the printed image. In between the glass and image is your optically clear mounting adhesive.
