Alabama Graphics is proud to welcome Carrie Evans to the Birmingham office. Carrie started with Alabama Graphics at the beginning of May as an Account Executive with a focus in digital color.
Although Carrie is originally from Alabama, she’s lived all over the country. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Graphic Design. After graduation, Carrie moved to California where she began working in the newspaper and magazine industry. She also worked for a company there creating DVD packaging, posters, display stands, and other 3-D design work.
In 2007, Carrie moved back to Alabama where she worked as the Art Director for Cummings Creative Group before selling homes and assisting the marketing department at D.R. Horton. She has also managed and created design work at Instant Sign Center.
While Carrie has a strong background in graphic design, she has also worked a lot in sales. “What I learned at D.R. Horton is that the sales background isn’t as important as being highly educated on the product and having that knowledge to help the clients make the best decision,” she says.
In her new position, Carrie is enjoying going out and meeting clients. She feels getting to help them on a one-on-one basis is one of her strong points. “I hope to become the best agent they need,” says Carrie.
