The Birmingham Barons, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have been a staple in the Birmingham community since 1986. Today, the team plays their home games at Regions Field, which is the newly-constructed, 8,500-seat baseball stadium located in Downtown Birmingham near Railroad Park. While watching the game, you can enjoy several new stadium features, including a craft beer garden stocked with beer from all five Birmingham breweries and new food items such as Buffalo Chicken Nachos.
The Barons vs. Mississippi Braves game is also be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Night. The team will sport special purple jerseys, which will be sold in a silent auction benefiting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. And, following the game there will be a fireworks show synced to today’s hottest country music. This is definitely a game you don’t want to miss!
