How We’ve Gone Green in Digital Color Printing

Going “Green” is the hip thing to do these days, but at Alabama Graphics, we’ve been “green” for years. We care about the environment, so we take steps in our Birmingham and Montgomery digital color printing offices to ensure that we leave as little a footprint on it as possible. How do we do it?

  • We’re a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
  • We embrace printing technology to reduce waste and use digital components of our business that are clean and sustainable.
  • We use recycled paper. In fact, we offer a line of 30% post-consumer waste bond paper that can be used to print any job, big or small. Also, we recycle any waste paper or returned projects, because we care about the environment.
  • We offer low-carbon footprint equipment for our printing customers. Many of our machines can run on far less energy and create less heat and emissions than machines of the past.

For us, being “green” is a way of life. It may be hard to imagine a digital color printer as “green,” but we’re proud that we’re helping the environment. What are you doing to live a little “greener”? We’d love to know in the comments.
