As we get closer to the New Year, things become even more chaotic with year-end deadlines at work, traveling and visiting family. During the time of year when you’re supposed to slow down and enjoy yourself, there are millions of things to do!

Oak Mountain Festival of Lights
What: Enjoy a dazzling display of lights from the comfort of your own car. Follow the path along the property of the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre with your radio tuned to Festival of Lights Radio to enjoy a customized Holiday broadcast synchronized to the amazing light show.

ZooLight Safari at the Birmingham Zoo
What: Watch as the Zoo comes alive with holiday-centric fun, and be amazed by light displays in this transformed winter wonderland. View over one million lights, listen to holiday music and delight in festive snowfall! Enjoy a ride on the Candy Cane Train, go for a spin on the Jingle Bell Carousel, experience the thrill of the over 100 foot Yuletide Slide and so much more.

Winter Wonderland And The Magic Of Model Trains at McWane Center
What: Bring your family to the most magical place around this holiday season. Laughter is in the air as children coast down the Ice Slide and take a whirl across the room on the extended zip line. Then climb aboard the McWane Train and go for a ride or try your luck at ice fishing. You can also discover trains of every shape and size inside this popular exhibit which features over a dozen different train displays.

Christmas Lights Festival at the Montgomery Zoo
What: See the Montgomery Zoo transformed into a Winter Wonderland sparkling with thousands of lights and festive decorations. Take a leisurely stroll, a brisk train ride or see the lights from atop the Zoofari Skylift Ride. Visit Santa, enjoy the live nightly entertainment and no winter’s night would be complete without some hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies.
