The Exceptional Foundation’s 11th Annual Chili Cook-Off is Saturday, March 7th in the parking lot of Brookwood Village! To help them spread the word about the upcoming event to as many people as possible we were able to donate yard signs that supporters could put in their front yard, at their neighborhood entrances, or place of business.
This is such a great community event that benefits such an amazing local organization, that we encourage everyone to attend. If you don’t know much about the Exceptional Foundation, it’s a nonprofit that provides social and recreational activities for individuals with special needs.
At the Chili Cook-Off the public is invited to taste the chili of more than 100 competition teams, and vote for their favorite. While tasting the chili, everyone can enjoy live music, beer donated by Good People Brewing Co., plus many other activities like face painting for the kids. It really is a blast for the whole family!
In 2014, the cook-off raised more than $240,000. The money raised through this event provides so much of the funds needed to ensure that the organization’s participants will be able to gather daily for social activities, take field trips, and compete in sports.
