At ALGX, we strongly believe in contributing to the communities in which we live and work. Every year, our company makes donations and sponsors various charitable events that we feel passionately about. These organizations include the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Humane Society and many others.
Take a look at some of the charitable groups that our Montgomery office worked with throughout 2014.
Montgomery Humane Society
ALGX sponsored the American Advertising Federation of Montgomery’s (AAF) Holiday Social that benefited the Montgomery Humane Society. The social had a good turnout and the group was able to raise $350 for the Montgomery Human Society. With the money raised, the AAF purchased dog and cat food, cat litter, detergent, treats and toys.
Montgomery Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing ministry that builds simple and affordable homes in partnership with those in need of decent housing. They work to help the thousands of Montgomery residents that live in dangerous and unhealthy housing so we were more than happy to print signage for their annual golf benefit at a discounted rate.
Faith Radio
Faith Radio is a Christian radio station that works to serve the Christian community and strengthen the local church and family unit by providing spiritual encouragement. ALGX was a proud sponsor of their 15th Annual Faith Radio Golf Tournament that was held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Arrowhead Country Club.
Montgomery Fire and Rescue
ALGX donated a magnetic sign for EMC office for First Responders of Montgomery Fire/Rescue that excels in providing public service to all residents and to those who work in and visit the Capital City.
Architecture for Humanity
Architecture for Humanity’s Montgomery Chapter, along with the Downtown Montgomery Business Association, came together to create this pop-up park. To help out, we donated the corrugated tubing that was used to create the space. The purpose of the event was not only to encourage people to spend some time out of their office and meet other members of the community, but to advocate for more public space in the city.
Faulkner University
Faulkner University is a private Christian university, located in Montgomery. We were able to donate signage for their annual golf tournament benefitting the Athletic Scholarship program.
Salvation Army
To support the programs of the international charitable organization, the Salvation Army, we provided a financial gift to the organization.
Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama
The Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama provides supportive services, educational services and assistance to cancer patients throughout Central Alabama. ALGX donated materials towards the construction of a putt putt golf hole.
2014 was a great year for all of us at ALGX to give back to the community, and we look forward to paying it forward in 2015 as well.
