As the holidays are approaching, we’re all crazy busy with work and trying to get everything finished before the New Year. But with everything you have going on at work right now, it’s just as important to remember all the events going on in the community that the whole family can get out and enjoy together.
We strongly encourage you to step away from the office and get in some quality family time during the holiday season.
To help you out, we put together a list of a few events around our office locations.
Birmingham 2014-2015 Holiday Events:
Mountain Brook Art Association Holiday Art Show
Check out the Mountain Brook Art Association’s Holiday Art Show with your family and find a perfectly unique gift for anyone on your list all while supporting the region’s best artists. Proceeds even benefit Hand in Paw.
The Holiday Art Show is open now through December 19th from 10 am to 8 pm each day. You can find them at the lower level of Brookwood Village.
Breakfast with Santa at the Birmingham Zoo
On December 20th, Santa will be coming to the Birmingham Zoo! Bring the family to enjoy a scrambled egg and sausage breakfast at the Kudzoo Café before Santa Claus makes his appearance. Children will receive a small gift upon arriving, and will get to take their pictures with Santa!
Be sure to save your spot here as early as possible!
Winter Wonderland at the McWane Science Center
The Winter Wonderland at the McWane Science Center is the one of the most magical places in town this holiday season. Not only does this winter wonderland include an ice slide and zip line, but you can take a ride on the McWane Train.
Going on now through January 11th, this is a holiday event that you do not want to miss!
Montgomery 2014 Holiday Events:
Capital of Dreams Christmas Parade
The City of Montgomery’s Capital of Dreams Parade is December 19th. The parade will go from the Capitol Steps to the Fountain, and will be filled with jolly floats and other festivities!
Bring the whole family out to celebrate with the city!
Montgomery Ballet Presents The Nutcracker
Start a family tradition and see the Montgomery Ballet present The Nutcracker at the Davis Theater. After the performance the family can attend the “Sugar Plum Fairy Party” on stage with the Sugar Plum Fairy and others!

PJ Party with Santa at the Eastdale Mall
Bring the kids out to Eastdale Malland enjoy this free holiday PJ Party with Santa, complete with milk and cookies, and Mrs. Claus. Santa will read a story to the children and do a sing along with some of his favorite songs. Then kids will have the chance to take a keepsake photo with Santa.
With all the holiday events going on in Birmingham and Montgomery, get the family together and enjoy some of them! This time only comes once a year!
