Bidding Made Easy with eSuite’s eDistribution Service

Like taxes and dental visits, bidding out a project is a necessary evil. But what if there was a service that could take all the paperwork and coordination that goes with bid management, and put it all in one easy-to-use place?

That’s what eDistribution, one component of our eSuite collection of electronic document management tools, can do for you. With eDistribution, you can delegate the administrative (and time-consuming) tasks of bid management to us though our convenient online portal. Store on our site all the information you need to publish for the bidding process and notify dozens of contractors about your project with one simple step. Contractors can then use their Alabama Graphics account or credit card to order all the files they need – either hard copy or digital – to put together a proposal for you. Those proposals will come back to you through the same easy-to-use interface on our site. And all this information is available 24/7 to you, your contractors, and anyone else who needs information on your projects.

We can have your bid management site up and running within hours, and with a few days more can customize your site to match your existing brand.

All this – and you’ll be reducing your print costs, your prep time, and your likelihood of errors. Visit our eDistribution page to find out more about everything this great tool can do for your team!

Our upcoming fall Demo Day will feature a full walk-through of what eDistribution can do for you. Watch for more information on that soon!

Our Customers – Knocking it out of the Park!

If you’ve been by Railroad Park recently, no doubt you’ve seen the progress on the new home of the Birmingham Barons – Regions Field, scheduled to open for the first pitch of the 2013 season next April.

The new Regions Field is the latest development in Birmingham’s rich baseball history, dating back to the creation of the “Coal Barons” baseball team in 1885. The new structure will feature architectural elements reminiscent of Birmingham’s industrial history, like archways of the type found in the steel warehouses that used to surround Railroad Park. Plans are being drawn up for a museum near the field honoring the players of Birmingham’s Negro League team, which included Satchel Page and a teenaged Willie Mays. Continue reading

The ABC Forum: Riding the Digital Wave

By Marlon Ford, Project Information Manager

Showing off the iPlan Table

Alabama Graphics Account Executive Michelle Dunn and I just returned from the Association of Building Contractors (ABC) Annual Convention in Biloxi. We had a great time, and not just because of the endless buffets and slot machines!

Our goal was to get our latest technology in front of the contractors and builders in attendance so they could see the newest products they had to have!

Our iPlan Table really wowed everyone who saw it. It’s such a cool product, and many people were trying to think of ways they could incorporate it into their business and facilities. Everyone agreed that it would be a great tool for estimating and client presentations. Continue reading

We’re Techy and We Know It

Alabama Graphics is so grateful to the Birmingham Business Alliance for featuring us in their Birmingham Technology Profile recently!

In the past, printers like ours – that focus on the Architectural/Engineering/Construction market – were known as “blueprinters.” It made sense – that’s what we printed, because they were large-format.

But since then, we’ve expanded our services to become a true technology company. From software products like our eSuite that manages workflow on commercial construction projects, to hardware like the iPlan Table, that allows you to view, share and store large-format documents, we’ve evolved past just putting ink to paper.
